"The thought of not being able to remain in my home due to the inability to pay for needed repairs is frightening.

With that said, I credit Taking Ownership PDX with helping me remain in my home (1955 Ranch) and providing me with a safe and healthy living environment.

In 2022, Taking Ownership PDX provided the funding for my home to be repiped, which included replacing the main water line. At the time I had a home warranty policy, however, the company would not repair my leaking pipes because the original installation was not to code.

In addition, in 2023, Taking Ownership PDX provided the funding to replace the roof on my shed that had blown off during a winter storm. The actual work was performed by Youth Builders. It was a great experience seeing young men and women learning the trade and helping the community.

The work performed on my house would not have been possible without Taking Ownership PDX's assistance.
